Growth, Performance and Sustainability of Talent in 2012
Wednesday, 11th January saw the official kick off of our client summit titled: 2012 Growth, Performance and Sustainability of Talent Conference. The event is being held at the Hyatt Regency, in downtown San Antonio. The 2012 GPS of Talent Conference is hosted by Dwight Crain and the enterprise solutions team at Profiles International. With a jam-packed agenda full of training sessions and presentations by industry experts, this year boasts the highest attendance of a Profiles client event to date.
"Whether it's pre-hire or performance management, Profiles' presenters and guest speakers illustrate best-in-class practices to help sculpt high-performing workforces," said Dwight. "The interaction with other companies is invaluable. It amazes me how people from different industries are all battling such similar issues, and using Profiles solutions to help."
Attendees were up bright and early for breakfast and registration at 7am. Every session of our client event covers in-depth explanations and trainings on every element of the employee life cycle while using Profiles International assessment solutions. Once clients understand the product and how it works, the sessions continue with how best to apply and use the solutions in any organization.
The sessions throughout the day were as follows:
- PXT History and PXT Sales with Dr. Scott Hamilton
In the session, attendees learned the theoretical basis for the PXT and how ProfileXT scales impact an organization.
- Psychometrics and Performance Models with Dr. Ben Shaw
Dr. Shaw outlined the science behind the popular PXT assessment and the ins and outs of Performance Model construction including how to come up with the most effective model.
After lunch, the sessions continued with the enterprise solutions team.
The sessions covered an extensive array of issues associated with implementing and managing the use of assessments in any organization. "Breakout sessions and real-world assessment applications really help drive home the value of putting Profiles tools to use," said Philip Shuler.
KEY TAKE AWAY: Profiles International Clients receive world class training from the scientists behind our assessments, which allows them to deepen their expertise in the use of modern employee assessments. They become the expert of these solutions in their own organization.
After the day sessions, clients had a chance to kick back and enjoy some traditional Texas fun with an evening at the Buckhorn Museum in downtown San Antonio.
Meanwhile, things were just as busy across the street in the Grand Hyatt with the partner and national director event. Headquarters staff set up the grand ballroom and breakout rooms. National directors met with the executive and marketing teams to discuss strategy and marketing programs for 2012. Later in the afternoon, Deiric McCann, VP of International, also met with the national directors to cover tools for driving sales and recruitment in the coming year.
The San Antonio Chamber and its executive board members hosted Peter Cappelli, this year's keynote speaker, along with the Profiles International executive team. They held an invitation only event where Dr. Cappelli made an exclusive presentation to the chamber members.
Back in the Grand Hyatt that evening, an international reception was held for our national directors and their partners/colleagues. As Profiles International exists in over 120 countries, there was a variety of accents and languages to be heard around the hotel.
"The formal day time sessions of our World Conference are, of course, extremely important – they bring us up to date on all of the many things that happen during a Profiles year, and get us ready for the following year. But the National Director reception, traditionally held on the Wednesday of conference week, is just as important. It is an incredible opportunity to mix with my peers from all of the Profiles world – hearing what is working for them in driving business in their countries. Some of my best ideas have come from that reception over the ten years I have worked with Profiles in East Europe."
Doru Dima, National Director of Profiles Romania and 2011 National Director of the Year
